Here’s the weekly clip summary of the weekend political circuit. I was unable to watch the Sunday shows on Sunday for the first time in a while, and I was rather surprised this morning to see that the main topic of discussion was not Israel. Instead Newt Gingrich stole the show – everywhere except This Week with Christiane Amanpour. For that, I commend her and ABC. In fairness, that show does tend to have a more “international” tilt; but I commend her/them all the same. The rest of the commentary focused on 2012. Mitch Daniels “midnight” announcement caught many by surprise, and the freshness of the news appeared to leave some without a sufficient plan B
